WHY CVE? very good
question!!
CVE stands for “The Corporate Voice Experience”. A ‘corporate voice’ is the voice one hears on television and radio presenting station identifications and trailors etc. Daniel’s voice is heard all around the world and in NZ is the voice of Newstalk ZB and Sky Sport. Grant was the voice of The Rock, Vodafone, The Hits, Channel Z and many TV and radio commercials and Jason was a radio announcer on Kiwi FM at the time of formation. That’s how the name CVE came about...seemed like a great idea at the time!
CVE released “It is What it is” in 2011 and charted at #6 on the NZ albums charts. The album’s title reflects the members collective philosophy on life and features the singles ‘Change is Gonna Come’, ‘Your Side of the Moon’ (featured on the finale of TV show ‘Go Girls’ and ‘Like Cigarettes’ which was mixed by Cenzo Townsend - U2, Franz Ferdinand, George Ezra, Kaiser Chiefs, Friendly Fires, Tom Jones, Snow Patrol, Florence + the Machine, Thirty Seconds to Mars.
